Miss Jessie Blanchard and Mr. Archie Futrell of Woodland were in town Sunday afternoon. Miss Elma Peele, who teaches school near Murfreesboro, spent Saturday and Sunday at her home here. Miss Emily Long of Pendleton is visiting her friend. Miss Lelia Weston. Mr. W. J. Brown left Saturday for Norfolk to be at the bedside of his wife, who has been in the hospital there for some . weeks. tie returned Monday, and we were very glad to learn that her condition was much improved. We very much hope to see Mrs. Brown home in a few days. Messrs. J. H. Parker and M. W. Rose, and Misses Emily Long and Lelia Weston spent Sunday at the home of Mr. Albert Lassi ter of Rich Square. Friends Quarterly meeting was held at Cedar Grove Friday and Saturday of last week. Several -visiting Friends were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Henby Lane of Tyner, N C, spent from Friday until Monday with Mr. A. E Copeland and family near this place. Miss Cora White of Belvidere visited in the home of Jesse W. Peele a few days the past week. We very much hope that the Betterment Associations of Rich Square Township will not forget to be present at the meeting at Olney High School next Saturday at 2:30 o'clock. The purpose of this meeting was stated in last week's "Times." ; .New from Eagletowo. The Liteary on Friday night was well attended. The program was in commemroation of Wash ington's birthday, and was well rendered. . r '' The quarterly meeting of Friends was attended by several 'rom Piney Wwds and Up River. Cora White :rom Belvidere was a representee to our meeting rum Belvidere, and visited h r sifter, Keitie Peele while here. The Minister's home here is nearing comp e ion. It will be a ci zy home tor all ministers who wish to sejourn with this people. Edgar T. Snipes of Ahoskie was in attendance on Sabbath at Quarterly Meeting Mr. W. H. S.
