The link in the family circle was broken, on the evening of March the 17th, 1911. After suffering but a few hours with accute indigestion, the noble spir it of Lucius L. Taylor took its flight, leaving behind a heart broken wife and seven devoted children to mourn his death. His surffering was intense for about four hours, while loving hands and a kind physician did al within their power to relieve the pain, but to no avail. The Al wise one. said Come unto me and I will give you rest." His life's work was finished, and .he went to receive his reward Mr. Taylor was a good man and did a geeat deal of good, He served his county as road com missioner for a number of years. was always at his post of duty. His oppinion, when given, was sure to be the very best. His friendship was true and stead fast. His judgment and advice was sought by the rich and poor alike. He was a magistrate for sever al years, and always settled dis putesand difficulties brought be fore him if possible, peaceable. without a trial, for he was a man of peace. "Blessed are the peacemakers for they bhall be called the child ren of God." One of his most noticable traits was his unselfish love and devo tion to his family. He often 6aid he wished he could have all his children near him. so he could see them every day. He was a good samaruan, in the true sense of the word, never turning a deaf ear to any one in trouble or need, not only giving advice, but his purse was opened freely in cases of "need and be nevolant causes. He joined the Uonfederate ar- mey while but a youth. He loved the cause of his Southland and was a brave soldier in its defense. He has been an honored Mason for years. Mr. Taylor was an influential citizen of his community and coun ty, rendering much valuable ser vice to both, and will be greatly missed, for his place will be hard to fill. His bod was laid to rest in tne family burying ground, to wait the morning of the resurrec tion. One who loved and honored him. Mrs. L L. Tayujr Jr. Notice Bids Wanted. The growing Christian requires much spiritual food. , Our daily talk should harmon ize with our Sunday prayer. A man doesn't harden his heart until he has softened his head. A man may work his way into heaven by working his way into the hearts of people. ' He who cannot pray in public has no way ef proving that he prays in private, except bv the way he lives. The man who goes on to per fection through the course of a liftime, will go on in perfection through eternity. Though he doesrv't open his mouth, the sinner says "No" to God every time he has an oppor tunity to say "Yes." A friend is such a valuable as set that.a man can ailord to go a little out of his way to convert an enemy into one. The Chris tian Herald. "The Piano with the Sweet Too." ' Saved Ills Mother's Life.
