Minutes of last meeting read and approved, after ' which the Board transacted the following business. The certificate of a special tax election returns for a special School Tax District located in Whites and Coleraine Township, Bertie County, on Dec 10. 1912, show the number votes register ed " 46, number, cast for special tax 33,number votes cast against special tax 8. . J. L Morris, Constable, pre sented his bond in , the sum of $300.00 as constable of Coleraine Township, same was approved and ordered recorded. . ..... . D. W. Pittman. Constable of Woodville Township, presented his bond in the sum of $1000.00. same was accepted . and ordered recorded. J. T. Lawrence, Constable for Whites Township, presented his bond in the pum of $500.00, same was accepted and ordered re corded. On motion it was ordered that Jacob Hardy be sent to the Coun ty Farm to be taken care of. On motion it was ordered that the county bonds held by the Bank of Coleraine in the sum of $1000, that interest be paid on them from Jan. 1st, 1913, untjl paid. On motion it was ordered that the fee of $5.00 per month allow ed the jailor for keeping the jail be discontinued. On motion it was ordered that one of the road machines now owned by the county be sold and the work of this machine be dis continued.1 ,, , ' ; , , On motion it was ordered that the County Commissioners offer a reward of $50.00 for the arrest of Richard Pugh who committed murder on Dec. 25th, and escap ed from the county. Ernst White, Constable for Whites Township, presented his bond for the sum of $500. same was approval ami ordered re corded. The following named persons were elected to serve as Super visors in the following townships, viz: Merry Hill Township, T. Er nest White; Coleraine, E. D. Cal lis; Whites, P. F. Cobb; Mitch ells, Jesse Hoggard; Roxobel, J. R, Harrell; Woodville. A. T. Ea son; Snakebite. S. P. Hale; In dian Woods, D. C. Outlaw. It was also ordered that the Super visors all be paid the sum of $2.00 a day for each day worked ' On motion it was ordered that the men who work the road ma chine be paid $50.00 per month and be paid for full time. Dr. J. B. Ruffin presented bis bond as Coroner for Bertie Coun ty, the same was approved and ordered recorded. , The following accounts were audited and ordered paid, viz: D. C.
