On motion B. W. Vincent of
Gaston Township was appointed
aa Supervisor to attend to the
cutting but and changing county
road near Vultare and said to be
about 400 yards long, by the
Camp Mfg. Co. for their own
convenience. Said road must be
put in good condition for travel
by said company, said Supervisor
to report said road at the next
meeting of the Board.
On motion it was ordered that
the keeper of Branch's bridge ba
discharged as the Board thought
it was, unnecessary to continue
teener any longer.
No other business appearing
the Board adjourned to. meet on
the first Monday in Octbber.1913.

The annual meeting of the
policy holders of the Farmers
Mutual Fire Insurance Associa
tion was held Sept 2. at Ahoskie.

Meedng called to order by the
President, Albert Vann, after
which the report of Secretary
and Treasurer was read, and is
as follows: ' ;
Insurance in force $1.583,000. 00
with 1247 policy holders.
1 The Treasurer reported collec
tions good for past ye&r.
Bal. on hand last report $3113.71
Collections past year $5342 22
Interest 72.52
$8528.45
Losses and expenses $2798.52
Balance on hand $5729.93
All claims against the associa
tion have been paid in full.
The amount of assessment for
1914 was discussed and on motion
it was made same as last year
(40c per 100,00)
On motion a committee of one
from each county of the Branch
was to be appointed by the pres
ident to visit and examine the
property insured by the associa
tion and have necessary repairs
made to all property insured. If
necessary, cancel property that
is in bad condition. The compen
sation to be $150.00 for each
county, the work to be completed
as soon as possible. ,
Assessment No. 18 was ordered
to be levied Jan. 15, 1914. .
Mr. Albert Vann was reelected
President at a salary of $250.00
The present Secretary and
Treasurer gave notice that be
wished to retire and on vote Mr.
Willie Edwards was elected Sec
retary and Treasurer at a salary
of $350.00 per year and the bond
fixed at $10000.00 Mr. J. W.
Boone of Winton was elected a
director for Hertford county in
place of Mr. C. W. Parker, de
ceased. ,
Mr. J. T, Williams was reelect
ed a director. Appointment of
Supervisor left to be made by

on both sides of the Railroad north of
Rich Square, and that part of the
Brown and the Daoghtrv land adjoin
ing the above tracts now owned by me.
