THE BEAUFORT NEWS THURSDAY AUG- , 1925 2 Utah-! n low Is The Time Straits. N. C. natal Be; EC The Straits Section of Carteret County is one of the most prominent of the rural sections. It is noted first for its splendid citizenship, honest, sober, indus rtious, lovers of their community and their fellowmen. Business men say that the Straits people pay their debts. They are not a boasting people, but are, for the most part, industrious, intensive farmers who make a good living and some to spare each year. They are inter ested in good schools and good churches. This section has become famous for its sweet po tatoes, both early and late, Irish potatoes, "ford hook" (lima) beans and other crops. The first shipment of sweet potatoes this year was made July 8th. One of our directors, Mr. Carl G. Gaskill, lives in this favored section. You are invited to consult with him at any time concerning bank service. , If you have money to deposit, he will greatly appreciate your business. If you need help, it will be a pleasure to him to do what he can for you. Many of the Straits people do their banking with this bank. This is the first ad in "Know your County" series.
