Miss Lu la Gillikin will play old Santa's part. Misses Annis Lewis and Laberta will close the scene by singing "Silent Niffht". After this many song, reciations, carols, and acros tics will be given. A word may be added here con. cerning our work in the past and our plans in the future Last month all tests in the fifth and sixth grades were passed successfully except in one or two instances. "Work" is our motto Make it yours, so when the school term ends in the spring, we can say that we have won an ed ucational victory for old Carteret greater than ever before by passing our work 100 per cent. We have had our school yard cleaned up, and after Christmas our principal is planning to have the yard rilled in, in order to get rid of so many mud holes We must not fail to mention here the fact that one of the good patrons of our school Mr. Mesley Lawrence has very kind ly offered us the privilege of using his land as a base ball diamond. We heartily thank him. May his chil dren make great prize fighters and baseball players! To all who have helped our school we extend our thanks, and to all sister schools greetings, and wishes for a pleasant Christmas and a happy New Yer.
