A word may be added here con.
cerning our work in the past and
our plans in the future Last month
all tests in the fifth and sixth grades
were passed successfully except in
one or two instances. "Work" is
our motto Make it yours, so when
the school term ends in the spring,
we can say that we have won an ed
ucational victory for old Carteret
greater than ever before by passing
our work 100 per cent.
We have had our school yard
cleaned up, and after Christmas our
principal is planning to have the
yard rilled in, in order to get rid of
so many mud holes We must not
fail to mention here the fact that
one of the good patrons of our school
Mr. Mesley Lawrence has very kind
ly offered us the privilege of using
his land as a base ball diamond. We
heartily thank him. May his chil
dren make great prize fighters and
baseball players! To all who have
helped our school we extend our
thanks, and to all sister schools
greetings, and wishes for a pleasant
