C. who is teaching school here und Misses Ethel and Lena Lewis attend ed the county commencement at Beaufort Friday and reported a fine time. The farmers are busy packing and shipping the spring cabbage. The crop is bountiful this season and the price is fair. Mrs. Carl Morton of North Har lowe came to see Mrs. W. W. Miss Lizzie Morton of New Bern road who has been real sick is some better at this writing. Mrs. Louis Williams of Raleigh spent the week end with her mother Mrs. C. F. D. Bell. Mr. Roy Dickinson and friends Mr. Charles Corebell of St. Paul's School spsnt the wreek end with Roy's parents Mr. and Mrs. John Dickinson. Mr.and Mrs. J. M. Burke, and grand daughter, Miss Janice Earl Peterson attended a dinner at the Christian church in New Bern Mon day night. The school teacher here, Miss Ger trude Styron carried the school on an oyster roast Tuesday evening, all the children seemed to enjoy the sport. Mr. R. B.
