Oct. 1 WHEREAS, the County already . nas expended many thousands of dol lars in the preparation for trial and the actual trial of the causes; and WHEREAS, it has been caused to appear to the satisfaction of the Board through intimations of the Trial Judge and through information other obtained during the progress of the suits that a further nroseni- tion of the actions would entail and result in a considerably increased outlay of costs and expenses to the County, and without any reasonable hope or probability of the county's being able to make any recovery in the actions, or any one of them, or otherwise justify further procedure; and WHEREAS, the financial affairs of the County are such as to require and demand on the part of this Board conservative measures in the interest of the tax-paying mihlic. and n,o Board itself being altogether of the opinion that the said actions are without sufficient merit to iustifv further expenditures in their prose cution, and the Board thus far hav ing Cooperated with counsel renrn- senting the county in the said suits but without avail in the interests of the County: NOW, THEREFORE.
