Buildings and Ground 1
We had twelve prjects tiled with
the CWA and two of them have'
been approved already; a land clear-'
ing and ditching project and a gym
nasium project. This has made us all,
quite happy. Of course, we are expect
ing others to be approved, such as a :
swimming pool and play grounds etc.
Farm.
Our farmer tells us that our corn
crop will reach 6500 bushels, Ample
supply for ou rneeds. Our can goods
are all gone, sorry to say, and it
takes money to buy these most nec
essary vegetables; our boys and girls
must have wholesome food. !
Our Boys and Girls I
In our last news letter, we men-'
tioned the fact that we were going to
ask Club members to give us five;
cents a month to pay our boys and
gil ls who worked on the farm, in the
dairy, laundry, sewing room, dining
room and hospital, thirty or forty
cents a month for a little spending
money ;;s the only money they ever
received was a few pennies now and
then that some kind person gave
them. Now here comes the best part
of thes tory; on Tuesday following
this notice, we received a check from
a gentleman in Salisbury for $2.40
saying he thought this a line idea
and he was enclosing enough to pay
n boy or girl for six months at forty
cents per month and would send more
later. I can say thr.t two people are
happy to lay the giver of this mon
ey and the recipient.

30 days in which to comply with the
positive provisions of the law.
"Consistent policy, that avoids dis
crimination and treats every motor
ist alike, requires a fixed time beyond
which the use of oil license plates
on the highways v. ill not be permit
ted. The law fives this time as the
first day of January. It has been a
greed by all administrative agencies,
therefore, that this provision of the
law will be strictly enforced after
sunrise on January 1. All police of
ficers of counties and cities will be
requested to join the enforcement
officers of the State to see that this
provision is st-ictly enforced on and
after that dale with no favoritism to
any one," Mr. Maxwell st.ites.

she does the most of what ever she

istration. The proposed code applies
to the marketing division of the in
dustry. Where its provisions were in
adequate to deal with regional prob
lems, it has been suggested, accord
ing to an announcement from the
AAA, that regional or supplementary
codes could meet local problems. The
code is designed to remove unfair
practices and wastes in marketing
poultry and eggs, thus increasing re
turns to producers and assure max
imum results in grading and standard
izing poultry products, in behalf of
consumers as well as protecting farm
ers with high quality products. A
code applied to 0,000 commercial
hatcheries has already received a
public hearing.
