SKARREN-WADE (iNew Bern Sun-Journal) Miss Mamie Wade and Mathias Phelps "Pat" Skarren were married quietly at 9 oclock Thursday evening by Justice of the Peace Thomas H. Smith at the Smith home at 302; Rhem avenue. No advance announcement had been made of the wedding plans, and only a few friends accompanied the couple for the simple and quiet cere mony. The bride was becomingly dressed in green. The couple are making their home at the residence of the bride's par ents, Mr and Mrs A. Wade, 82 John son street. Mrs. Skarren is the daughter of, Mr. and Mrs. Wad'e, the family mov ing to New Bern about twelve years ago from Morehead City. She was graduated from New Bern high school and has been working for some time at the local sewing rooms of Cohen, Goldman and company. She is popu larly known among a wide circle of friends. Mr. Skarren is the son of Mrs. Sue Skarren and the late John Skar ren of Beaufort. He attended Beau fort high school. Coming here from Beaufort, he has been residing in New Bern for several years. For more than a year he has been a mem ber of the New Bern Sun-Journal. He also has many friends through the costal section who will be inter ested in news of his marriage.
