Lupton has been very ill for the past few days, but we are all glad she has improved. I wish to take this opportunity to 6how my gratitude to all those who were so kind to me during my ill ness at Morehead City hospital. I wish to thank the doctors and nurs es who were so kind to me, and the presence of all those who cared visit me was also appreciated. The fruits that my Sunday School, league, and various friends sent me were also greatly enjoyed. Words cannot ex press my appreciation. I only hope that I may live long enough to do some kindly deed for all those who showered kindness upon me, but may it not be in sickness. Thank you, i . Jessie L. We had music and sanj the songs of "long ago" which was her favorite. She enjoyed the occasion very much. Mrs. Eubanks served tea, cakes and hot coffee, also candy. The party was immensely enjoyed by every one. Mrs. Evans or better known SS "aunt Crissie" has many friends who wish her many more such occasions. If the weather continues the drum fishermen who will be arriving soon should have good luck when they start surf casting. Dickinson and Ralph Moore of Clinton spent Sunday night and Monday with Mr. Dickinson's par ents Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dickinson. Paving will soon be started on Route 101 from the Steel Bridge to Beaufort. We will be glad to see it completed. Miss Marie Dickinson motored to Beaufort and Morehead Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Bell. Mrs. J. F. Sabiston spent Thurs day afternoon with Mrs. Ray Dickin son. Mrs. G. C. and Mrs. Lula Bell, of Harlowe spent Thursday with Mrs. E. C. Dickinson. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Dickinson were Monday. Little Everett Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Golden is on the sick list.
