Mrs. James Noe, Jr., and two chil dren are spending the week in Orien tal with her father. Miss Annis Doane of Boston, Mass. and Priccilla Doane of Port Arthur, Texac, daughters of Capt. A. F. Doane former residents of Beaufort spent Wednesday and Thursday vis iting Miss Lucy Holland. Miss Evelyn Wynne of Washintg on, N. C, is here visiting Miss Lucy Holland. Mrs. Collin Carter who was form erly Miss Beverly Cotter spent the week end in Beaufrt visitinf? Miss Annie Rumley. She was accompanied by Miss Joe Allen of Ti'oy. N. C. Rev. and Mrs. Worth Wicker of Greenville attended the Episcopal convention here this week. Ihey were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Woodland of Morehead City. Rev. Mr. Wicker was formerly rector of St. Paul's church. Among the visitors and delegates from Washington, ,N. C, who attend ed the convention in Beaufort this week were: Miss Elizabeth Warren, Mrs. Lindsey Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Adams, Mrs. William Burgaw and daughter Lila Burgaw, Mrs. Jose phine Whitley, Rev. Gardner, and Mrs. Harriet Harding and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Snowden and son Macon, Jr., spent the week end in Norfolk, Va., visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ramsey of Washington, D. C, spent the week end here visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Ramsey. Miss Eleanor Ramsey who is em ployed in the FERA office at New Bern spent the week end here with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Ramsey. Col. and Mrs. Fairleigh S. Dickin son left Wednesday morning for their home in Rutherford, N. J., after spending a few weeks in Beaufort. Miss Lucy Bowers, teacher in the Beaufort schools left Saturday for her home in Heath Springs, S. C. Miss Bowers parents arrived here Thursday and returned with her to their home.
