NEWPORT The Boys and Girls teams of New port played Swansboro's teams last Thursday at Swansboro. The Swans bro boys won by a score of 12 to 6. The Newport girls won 13 to 9. This was the first victory for a New port team this year. Although Mr. Carlton, the principal, in tkrj eyes of the public is responsible- for all funds, it may be stated in his behalf than no funds of any nature pass into hi? hands, but into the treasurer of the school board, Mr. Blythe Noe. Every efficient- The Beaufort coach will have plenty of reserves when the basket ball season gets under way. There will be three teams if not four this year. This applies to the boys team. There will be one girls team with an ample supply of substitutes. These reserves will be the team of next year.
