Mr. and Mrs. James Davis Pot ter, Jimmy, Junior, and aK'cher inc, left Wednesday morning fur Charlotte for the holidays. Burton Daniels, Jr., is home for the Holidays ftam Elon College. He in the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Daniels of Beaufort. Mrs. Harrv McGinnis arrived Monday to spend the Christmas holidays with her mother, Mrs. Lu- tie Jones. Sgt. McGinnis will join her hare at the week end. Mrs. Edward Potter spent Mon day in Jacksonville visiting her father who underwent" an opera tion at Onslow County Hospital last week. Mrs. Duke Howard will arrive Saturday to spend Christmas with her parents, the E. H. Potters. Miss Josephine Eykes leaves Sat urday to spend Christmas with her mother in Rocky Mount. Miss Fiances Matthews of the Washington, N. C, w; he guesc last week end of Miss Mildred Daniels, Beaufort Miss Lena Duncan leaves for Norfolk Saturday morning to spend Christmas with her sisters, Mrs. William Kennedy and Mrs. W. P. Sellers. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Duncan re turned Monday evening from Old Fort where they attended the fun eral of Mrs. Duncan's brothei, Cpl. Charles Lytle. Miss Margaret Ann Paul arriv ed Tuesday night from Meredith College to spend Christmas vnth her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Halsey Paul. Mrs. Hattie Parkin and son, Rev. W. B. Parkin, pastor of the Meth odist Church at Stumpy Point, ar rived Tuesday for the Christmas holidays. Miss Carol Dean Btssent, stu dent at Louisburg, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hov ard Bessent. Mrs. Edgar Jones drove to Rocky Mount on Monday to meet her daughter, Barbara, who is spending a month's vacation here from her studies at Wellesley Col lege. Mrs. W. K. Hinnant accom panied Mrs. Jones to Greenville, where she spent the day with her daughter, Mrs. David W. Mossier, and Lt. Mosier, who is at honi? be cause of illness. Miss Sue Murray Thomas, stu dent at ECTC, Greenville, is spend ing the holidays with her father, Mr. T. M. Thomas. Mrs. Valverta Gainer, a mem ber of the Newport high school faculty spent last week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Daniels, Sr., Bcaufoit. Miss Annie L. Morton, Dean of Women at ECTC, Greenville, ar rived Wednesday for the Christ mas holidays. Cpl. James H. Potter, III U. S Army at Fort Bragg, arrived Mon day night for a visit with his wife and new daughter, who made her arrival early Sunday, morning at the Morehead City Hospital. Miss Sara Potter will come in from Jacksonville, N. C, Friday for the holidays with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Pbtter. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. McBride of Cleveland, Ohio, arrived Saturday to visit her sister, Mrs. Paul S. S. Jones, during Christmas.
