BIG WILDJKT SHOW Remarkable demonstrations of skill with the lariat are promised when GaUfomia. Frank’s Wild West spreads its tents here on Friday, Oct. 20th. Without the lariat, the cowboy wotild be a usele.^s ranch adjunct. It is as necessary to his picturesque avo cation as the horse which knows his every move and mood. In round-up and branding, in corral or on range, the spinning rope is called into service. The proficiency which the cow boys attain in the manipulation of their coils is born of long, stern practice. In’the chase of unruly horses and wild cattle, they learn to cast with sure aim and certain result. No four-foot ed animal is too agile or too swift to escaps the hurtling noose. The coyboy seldom remains content, however, with the ac complishment of the routine du ties of the lariat. He becomes fascinated with its manifold pos sibilities. Thus, far out on the lonesome prairie with only the grazing cattle as his audience, he may be often found practicing tricks to dumfourid his compan ions ol the saddle. In his expe rienced hands, the lariat seems to become a thing of life and reason, as it twists and curls and circles in mid-airs. Notice Of Sale 0 Seal Estate. Bariington Refonsed Church.
