Glencoe, Carolina and Hopedale;
THENCE by, or through, the
city of Burlington and the town

tinuing southeastemiy direction

ing villages of Swepsonville and
Saxapjftiaw to the Orange coun
ty line; THENCE through the
township of Bingham and Chapel
Hill; THENCE to the Durham
county, near or by or through
the town of Chapel Hill; Thence
to the Durham county line, and
to and into the city of Durham,
North Carolina.
Second; That in the evert
the said portion of the line of
Electric Railway, of the party
of Ohe first part, is not construct
ed by it, or itn succes.^or or suc
cessors or asisigna, within fivti
(5) years from the date of the
issuance of the said bonds, as
indicated and set forth in condi
tion First, as above set out and
numbered, and then, in that
event, it i.s agreed by the part.v
of the first part, that the party
of the second part (The Pied
mont Trust Co.) shall, and it
agrees that it will, in that event,
deliver all of the bonds so issued
by the counties of Alamance,
Durham and Orange, by the

change for said bonds, as pro
vided by the order of election, is

not be issu^ by the party of
the first part, or by its succe.-i-

greater amount of pi^ferred
stock than seven thousand dol
lars pier niiie upon the line to be
constructed as aforesaid; the
preferred stock to be five (5)
per cent, non-cumulative and re
deemable at the option of the
party of the first part at any
time within eight years from
the date of its isfuahce.
FifHh: It is further agreed by
the party of the first part with
the pary of the sMond part as
Trusty that,, in the event tiie
said election are carried and said
bonds of said townships, or
either of them, are issued and
delivered to the party of the
second part in trust as above in
dicated, and are subsequently
delivered to the party of the
first part, by the party of the
party of the second part, up«jn-
the construction of the said line
of railway, and the operation
thereover, between the termini
indicated, that tSie coupons upon
said bonds, for oiie-half of the
time between the date of the is
suance of said bonds jsnd the
date of the operation of cars or
trains, as aforesaid, over said
line of railway, shall be cHppod
by said Trustee and delivered lo
the Boards of County Commis

pose, and with the obligation of
the said Boards of County Com

issued under elections already
