CARPENTERS’ UNION NO. 1764 SUBSCRIBED TD HERALD IN BODY * Carpenters’ Union 1764, one of the largest labor organizations in Piedmont Carolina, subscribed to The Charlotte^ Herald in a body last Fri day evening, and ordered the treas urer to pay The Herald for the en tire membership. This may not mean much to the average reader, but it certainly meahs lots and Jots to The Charlotte Her ald. It means more, much more, than the dollars and cents received in paymept for the paper—it means encouragement, it mean new life and new hope', to thg purblishers of the paper. If means that those who are charged with the responsiiblity of speaking for organized labor each weak have met the approval of the largest group of organized workers ur this .section. And it should mean something to the merchants and business men of Charlotte. It s^oald b£ a direct mes *shge to them that the Working pee pie of this section, the real money Winders, are deeply interested in The Hierald ,and-consequently thecad wertisements placed in the columns of The ' Hierald will find ready re sponse on' the part of the vyorkers of Central Carolina. And The Herald thanks the car penters. KEEPING TO THE FOIST.
