I31IAM ItOYAIi, Co. Supt. The Buildins and Loan Associa tions of Charlotte have always been well managed, and well sus'amcd, and successful. They have done no little towards heading up Charlotte, indeed, it is lully just not to say they have done a great deal towards helping wage workers to get homes. To dav The Chronicle publishes the first annua! v.: port of the North Carolina Budding and Loan Asso ciation, which makes the handsome st kind of a showing for the first year, when expenses are alwaps greater than any other year. There is room enough in Churlotto for yet another building and loan association, fnd he Chronicle hopes to pee it started. The tt.vn is grow- im: :.nu neeus mem. cnanoi.e Chronicle. There is a branch ofiice of the North Carolina Building and Loan Association hero in town, which has alreadv made one or mere loans here. The Sampson Building-am' Loan Association is also doing well At a meeting of the Board of Direc tors Monday evening three applica tions were passed upon. There are four or live more applications in the hands of the Secretary. This Asso ciation could lean readily four times as much money. The great demand for money makes shares in the as sociation a good investment. Those who e-m spare a liith? change each week, ought to take shares, lay up 1 something and at the same time j help the country. mtiit a!- Aii Old Chair and an Older IWble.
