Stevens, a member of the loard of Agriculture, has been appoint ed cn Executive Committee, and P. M. Pearsall, Esq , an old Sampson boy was elected a Grand Oflioer of the State Lodge. Mr. W. H. Williams and family will leave here and go to his farm in Duplin county, near Warsaw. Mr. Williams has been with us over a year. While he was no stranger before he has since his resid ing here become so closely allied with us that his leaving will bo a sonrco of many regrets from all. Wo hope he will soon see that he can get along no where so well as in Clinton. We have at hand a copy of the "Verdict from the Farmers" issued by the Durham Fertilizers Company. It presents the strong testimonal of hun dreds of the very best and most success ful farmers in the State all testifying to the great value of this fertilizer.
