Fraternally, G. W. Hichsmith, Seo'y. MOORL COUNTY. Special Correspondent. Carboxtov, N. C, Jan. 22, '92. The County Lecture Bureau of Moore county was organized at White Hill on Thursday, the 21st. The weather had been very bad up to that mornin ', but a respectable number of zealous Alliancemen and others, with the ladies assembled to see and hear our State President, Bro. Marion Butler. He was on hand, and made one of the best practi cal talks I have heard for along time. He made no attempt to show off himself as a speaker or orator, but simply made a plain talk. It vras practical, logical, common sense, full of facts, sta tistics and interspersed with hu mor enough to be enjoyed by all. There was good music and pray er at the opening and closing of closing of the meeting. After the public meeting was closed the Alliance met and after an other shoit but very interesting lecture by President Butler, the Couaty Lecture Bureau was or ganized. Dr. V. N. Seawell, by virtue of his office es County Lecturer, is president. Bro. W. C.Wiilcox was elected s -cretary. A meeting of the Bureau was called to ateet at Carthage on Friday, the 12th day of Febru ary, which every sub-lecturer in the couaty is earnestly request ed to attend for very important business concerning the Order. President Butler met a respecta ble member of Alliancemen and citizens at Carbonton on the 22d, and ypoke for two lioura ard was listened to with all the attention that could be desired. Every one I have seen is highly pleased with the President and carried away with his lecture on the object, aims and demands of the Order. Let me insist again that every Sub-Lecturer in Moore county oe certain to attend the meeting of the Bureau at Carthage on me icn day of February, and we would like to see as many of tne otner brethren out as possi- oie. v e Iiope to make it inter esting.
