At the preliminary hearing 10 day al derman Allen, policeman Cunning ham and others of the party re cently charged with bath ng in the reservoir whence the water supply of the city is obtained, were bound over under a heavy lond to appear at the m xt term of tho criminal court on a charge of defiling the city's drinking water. Alderman Allen's bond was fixed at $300, Mr. Cunningham's at hi and the oth ers at $100. In the hearing to day tho fact was developed that alder man Emery was also Invited to join the bathers, but declined. En gineer Duke of the pumping sta tion, besides being bonded, was dis charged.
