County Village, Doing Much Damage.
Germanton, N. C, June 24. Sun
day afternoon this village was visi

and rainstorm, three churches being
damaged to a considerable extent.
A memorial window erected to the
memory of the Rev. Mr. Lacy, in
the EniscoDal church, was demol

merous windows blown out, and the
Presbyterian church., a two-story

In addition to the damage done
to the churches, numerous small out
buildings, fences and a great num
ber of fruit and shade trees were
blown down. This is probably the
worst storm that has ever passed
over this place.
