Electrocution To-morrow. Charles B. Plylers, of Union Coun ty, will be electrocuted in the State Penitentiary to-morrow morning for the murder of his brother-in-law. She fought so hard that I used my knife on her and cut her,-and hit her. She was unconscious in the yard I dragged her body back into the house. I must have dropped my knife In the yard, for I thought I had it in my pocket. In the house I gathered up some things I wanted. Representatives from several coun ties met in Raleigh Tuesday to dis cuss plans for a highway traversing the State from east to west, a dis tance of about 460 miles. Mr. Joseph Hyde Pratt. Mr. H. B. Varner and others made speeches. One of the propositions was for each county to build tbe portion within its county. There will be another meet ing Raleigh April 20th for organization. Democrats Will Meet in Caucus Fri day Xight to Discuss How They Can Make the Districts Demo cratic. The Democratic members in the Legislature and other Democratic politicians will hold a party caucus on Friday night to consider the re districting of the entire State so as to make every District Democratic from their viewpoint. They seem to be in a dilemma over the matter, as they are expecting a flare-back in 1912. MALLORY FAL'CETTE KILLED BY CAR. for Hatching FROM HIGH-GRADE FOWLS Was Run Over by a Street Car on Martin Street Monday Xight. Mallory Faucette, a white man, was killed by a street car on Martin Street, in Raleigh, Monday night. When the fatal accident occurred Mr. Faucette was crossing the track on Martin Street near East Street. He was struck by the car, taken into the fender and dragged some distance before the car could be stopped.. The body was taken to an undertaking es . tablishment about a couple of hours after the accident. Mr. Faucette was about thirty-five years old and came to this city from Durham, where he has a mother and sister living. Mr. Faucette was a conductor on the Seaboard Air Line Railroad for some time, but recently had been em ployed at Jackson's wood yard in this city. REPUBLICANS GIVE BANQUET. Wake County Executive Qommitteo. Entertain Republican Members of Legislature at Giersch's Hotel. The Republican Executive Commit tee of Wake County gave a banquet at Giersch's Hotel Saturday night to the Republican members of the Gen eral Assembly. State Chairman John M. Morehead, members of the State Committee, and the candidates on the Wake County Republican ticket, were among the invited guests. After the "spread," Chairman Les ter F. Butler, on behalf of the Execu tive Committee, extended a welcome to all present and called on several members of the Legislature for speeches, all of whom responded in a ' happy style. Those responding were Senators Anderson, Marshburn and Williams, and Representatives Ewart, Herbert and Marshall. State Chairman Morehead was then .called Collins, Raleigh; F. C. Blake, House Creek; C .J. Hunter, Raleigh; C. M. Hamilton, Raleigh; E. D. Massey, Little River; C. M. Beavers, White Oak; W. T. Beck with, White Oak; J. R. Cunningham, White Oak; John G.
