The second district prize will be a Solid Gold Ladies
Size, Hunting Case, Watch with either Waltham or Elgin
Jeweled Movement. One of these Eingo and one
Watch will go to each of the four districts.

Candidates may enter the Contest from any part of the territory in which The
Caucasian circulates.
In case of a tie prizes of eq'ial value will be given.
No subscription ballot will be issued for less than one dollar.
The Caucasian reserves the right to reject any contestant
All controversies will be settled by the contest Manager of the Caucasian alone
and in accepting the nomination each candidate accepts and contracts to abide by the
decisions.
Votes cast cannot be changed to count for another contestant
Candidates may secure subscribers anywhere.
The judges selected by The Caucasian and contestants will count the votes at the
, close of the Contest and award the prizes.
Special ballots will only be issued when cash accompanies subscriptions.
Protest as to eligibility of any candidate will not be considered if votes have been
cast for said candidate for a period of thirty (30) days or longer.
Employees of The Caucasian, or members of their families, will not be permitted
to enter the contest.
No promises or agreements, written or vetbal, made by solicitors, canvassers or
sgents eq ept those. published in The Caucasian will t e recognized.

This Contest is open to all young ladles, either single or married, who
who live in the territory in which The Caucasian circulates. It is not even
necessary that you be a subscriber to The Caucasian.
How tine Prizes Will foe Awarded
The young lady securing the-highest number of votes will be awarded
the $400 PIANO, regardless of what district in which she may reside. A
Diamond Ring and a Gold Watch will Be given to the highest Two Candidates
in each district after the Capital Prize has been awarded.
District No. 1 comprises all of Wake County, including the city of Ral
eigh. District No. 2 comprises Harnett, Sampson, Johnston, Wilson and Wayne
counties.
District No. 3 comprises Chatham, Durham, Granville, Franklin and
Nash Counties.
District No. 4 comprises All that territory in which The Caucasian
Circulates that is not included in the above three districts.
