READING 1 , VERY LOW. The sands of life are running low with Mrs. Heriot Reading, Charlotte's oldest woman citizen and most remark able woman. As a result of the acci dent which befell her recently the fall she had, which resulted in a frac tured thigh or hip she is nearing the end. She is at her home on West Fourth street, attended by physicians, nurses and friends. Mrs.. Reading is nearly 90. Her life has been 'remark able -in many-.ways.' . MASCOT'S. BIRTHDAY.
