But strange to say, the people
gaze at Hank Todd's booth of one-hors.i

build himself a wooden fence in which
he threw his small display but peo
ple flock around his shay, for therein
sits his daughter, Dina, the best thing
made in Carolina. She smiles and
winks and laughs and kicks. The shay
looks like a new twin-six. No one wants
to stop and stoop to take a peep at
Nash's soup as long as Dina swings her
heels over Hank Todd's wagon wheels.
In efforts to win Dina's heart, a hun
dred young sops buy a cart, but Nash's
soup grows cold and stale while wait
ing for a ready sale.
If you have something good to sell
hunt you up a local belle. If she is
fair and sound of tooth, folks will flock
around your booth. Surplus cash can't
buy you fame. What you need is some
swell dame. The best things made in
Carolina are fair young chicks like
Hank Todd's Dina.
