STOCK MARKET.
New York, June 16. Town Topics
says: Unless liquidation occurs today
the stock market should harden. Up
to the close yesterday, no liquidation
of consequence was forced. We advise
caution in trading today and upon the
appearance of support would buy for a
turn. Twin City, which pays 5 per
cent., is a purchase. We are bullish on
Southern Pacific, especially for the
long pull. Buy U. S. Steel bonds. Lon
don early market for Americans was
heavy.
New York, June 16, Fleet & Co.
say: London weak. News trifle bear
ish. Our market weak on continued
liquidating sales and lack of support
from inside sources. Some apprehen
sion felt over outcome of miners con
vention. Believe matters will be
amicably settled. Neither the men or
operators want any strike now.
IT. S. Steel issues very weak on poor
trade outlook and selling from insid
ers. Believe these issues best sale on
the list. Atchison, Missouri Pacific
and B. and O. weak. No chance for any
increase in B. and O. dividend. Believe
we have seen and heard the last of in
creases in dividends for a long time
and talk of reductions in dividend
rates will soon be in order.
Weill brokers selling market freely
particularly the steel stocks. Foreign
Exchange market strong but no chance
of further good exchange.
Money market easy about 2 per cent.
Morgan's early home coming is regard
ed as a bear point. Market may work
lower.

THE STAMP OF TRUTH
Charlotte Residents Know It Well.
There is a stamp of truth on a state
ment endorsed by people we know, by
our friends and neighbors. The follow
ing experience of a Charlotte citizen
is but one case of scores right here at
home.
Mrs. J. A. Willeford, wife of the well-
kown tailor, living at 206 South Church
street, says: "Since I gave Doan's
Ointment a trial I have always been
willing to recommend it to others. I
got a box at the store of R. H. Jordan
& Co. and used for a sore and swollen
foot which seemed to burn like coals
of fire. It was so painful I could not
get a shoe on and I did not know what
to do. The first application of Doan's
Ointment removed the swelling and
the itching and burning was soon
stopped. It has not bothered me
since. The doctor told me that it was
a severe case of eczema."
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
cents. Foster-Milbura Co., Buffalo, N.
