Kidney trouble has become so prevalent that it is not uncommon for a child to be born afflicted with weak kid neys. To the Editor of The News: A certain paper after having made public a statement amounting to a charge of moral cowardice against a Bishop of the Methodist church, seeks to avoid just public censure by lamely claiming that the utterances of promi nent people should l,e guarded. When the same paper publishes a bona-fide interview, showing that an ex-Prcsident declares himself un willing to be a candidate for the Presi- i dentin 1 nomination next year, it makes haste to correct itself by publishing the statement that the author of the aforesaid interview, had he known it was for publication, would have had it ; reduced to writing. That would have : been a gcod idea in the other case, it seems to us. GERONIMO. i A Singular Coincident. I Mr. Carey W.
