L. T. Cooper's theory that the Ameri
can stomach has grown weak and is re
sponsible for most sickness is receiving
the strongest sort of endorsement from
? surprising number of New Yorkers.
Among many people who have re
cently become convinced that Cooper
is correct and his medicine all he
claims is Mrs. Eleanor Harris, of 226
Rodney street, Brooklyn.
Thmsday afternoon Mrs. Harris call
ed at the store where Cooper is meet
ing the public, and when interviewed
.said: "I am only too willing to tell
what a remarkable experience I have
had with Cooper's New Discovery, and
what a wonderful medicine I know it
to be.
"I huve had rheumatism for sixteen

trying to get rid of it that, for the past

medicine again. I started the treat

it had was to give me a better appetite

my food began to digest and no longer
distressed me for hours after eating.
At the end of the third week 1 noticed
that I was not suffering as much from
rheumatism, and each clay the pain and
stiffness grew less until 1 no longer
had any rheumatism. For the past
week I feel as though I had been made
ever entirely, as 1 have no pains nor
aches and eat three hearty meals a
day, with no indigestion whatever.
"My two nieces and my sister have
had stomach trouble. When they saw
what the medicine was doing for me
they all tried it. It has helped them
just as it did me, and they are delight
ed with their improvement. One of
them told me that it was worth more
as my oigestion 1 Mian its weignt m gold to ner. mis
For ten years 1 i sounds almost impossible, but every

jbut my rheumatism got steadily worse.
1 Finally my stomach got in such a state
i that I had to stop taking medicine al-
logether.
"When I first heard of Mr. Cooper's
medicine and what it was doing in
New York 1 was afraid to try it; but
I finally decided to take it, and if it

Raleigh, Feb. 9. Senator Manning
is sponsor for a measure authorizing
the issuing of a million and half
dollars worth of bonds for the beneiit
of the state's educational and charit
able institutions. The need of these
interests is great, particularly of the
latter, and the Durham senator is pre
pared to make an aggressive fight
for liberality.
The other feature of the day was
Representative Koonce's anti-trust
measure defining and restraining ille-
;al combinations. It is framed close
y along the lines of the famous
Texas legislation, the same which
drove Standard Oil out of the Lone
Star State and was the origin of
Senator Bailev's trouble.

people suffer with skin disease and
are perfectly healthy otherwise, and
thereby prove they have no diseased

Smeary salves cannot reach the
germs because they do not penetrate
the skin. The only way to reach the
germs is by means of a penetrating
liquid.
Such a liquid can be obtained by
simply mixing ordinary oil of winter
green with thymol, glycerine and oth
er healing agents. This compound,
known as D. D. D. Prescription, stops
the itch instantly and the cures, all
appear to be permanent. In fact, it
took thousands of cures, case afttr

thorities were convinced of the ab

itching skin. Its effect is seen within
one minute after the first application.

S. S. S. is the one and only reliable and certain cure for Contagious
Blood Poison. This claim is not based on the treatment of a few cases of
the disease, here and there, but its success extends over a period of .more
than forty years, during which time thousands upon thousands have found a
cure by the use of this great vegetable remedy. S. S. S. is first of all, an abso
lutely perfect blood purifier, able to go down into the blood and remove every
particle of the virus of Contagious Blood Poison. It cleanses and purifies the
circulation, and in this way removes the cause of the trouble. Then nature,
assisted by a rich, healthy blood supply, quickly renovates and renews the
system, while the symptoms of ulcerated mouth and throat, skin eruptions,
discolored splotches, falling hair, sores and ulcers, etc., disappear, leaving
the body entirely free from the effects of this insidious poison. When S. S. S.
has thoroughly cleansed and purified the circulation there is no danger of
any future outbreak the blood is pure and the cause of the disease entirely
removed. Home Treatment Book containing many valuable and helpful
suggestions for those who are curing themselves with S. S. S. , and any medical
advice desired sent free to all who write.
