X. C., Dec. 31.—-Attorneys interested in the famous copper mine case. Adams vs. Westfeldt, yesterday were in conference with Judge M. H. justice making* up the case for appeal to the Supreme court. It is probable that a good part of today will be nec essary for the completion of the wo^k. This case will come up for argu ment before the supreme court at the February term. The decision to be made then will be a final one, provid ing the verdict of the lower court is sustained. If sent back for a new trial the case may remain in the courts for several years more. This case has already been before the state supreme court several times, and one time before tne United States supreme court. The latter, after the case had been fought through the United States circuit court and the circuit court of appeals, held that the Federal courts had no jurisdiction, and remanded the case to the state courts. The next trial of the matter was at Waynesville at a recent term of the superior court at that place, Judge Justice presiding. At that time the ))laintiff for the first time in the his tory of the case obtained a verdict in his favor. For sale by R. II. Jordan & Co.
