locals and the Tivlns split a double
header here this afternoon the visi
tors taking tlie tirst in a one sided
I'ontest while the locals took the lat
ter 4 to 1. Hlackstone who twirled the
tlr.-t game for tho lociUs was knocked
;ill over the lot while Boyle held the
Ux’als safe at ali times. The feature
of the lirst game was the batting of,
Clemens who secured live hits out of

danger in the first contest and the
game was never in doubt after the

In the second contest though, the
result was different. Manager Smith
sent Jamieson to the mound and he
held the heavy hitting Twins at his
mercy all the way through letting them
down with one hit, and as many runs.
The last game was played in a light
rain and they were forced to stop for
uearlv thirty minutes. With two on
Manager Clancy trit*d to stop the pro
ceedings and when Umpire Nugent or
dered that they continue playing Mana
ger Clancy was ordered out of the
park, Gai^s was - fined, while Clancy
the visitors’ shortstop was put out of
