Believing these fact a to be reliable, coming from re liable men, Gudger declared that he made the statement that Reynolds would not run. The conversation with the "prom inent man" whom Gudger does not wish to mention becatise it would pos sibly embarrass him, occurred in Ashe ville, on Saturday, February 14. The next move apparently ' being up to" Frank Hewitt, many people in Washington interested in the tenth district race, are anxious to hear what he has to say regarding the matter.
