M. C. A. yes terday. Dr. Hobbs is president of Guilford College and the exercises were presided over by an alumnus of Guilford, Mr. E. A. Cole, who in mak ing the introductory speecn paia a glowing tribute to tne college, the jFriende as a class and to Dr. Hobbs as an educator and as a man. Before Dr. Hobbs' address Mrs. Avery Williams accompanied by Miss Dr. Hobbs tooK as his text the words.
