The Lehigh Valley Railroad Company was sued nere cy Attorney uenerai iucteynoias under the Sherman anti-trust tlaw, as being the dominant factor in a combi nation alleged to control the output of anthracite from the Pennsylvania fields it touches. Among the defendants named were: Lehteh Valley Coal Company, Lehigh Valley Coal Sales Company, Coxe & Stotesbury, Daniel G. Reid, Charles Steele, Geo. F. Baser and lieo. -tr. Baer. By virtue of its monopoly, the com- nlaint declares the Lehigh has "pre vented the building of any new rail road into the antnracite region served by it, and has Kept the independent producers under the disadvantage of having to ship over a railroad also engaged in the coal business. Music as a cure for insanity is to have a more extended test in the eastern Il linois state hospital for the insane than has ever before been attempted in Iillinois institutions. The plan is an advance on previous mueic cures in which the patients were merely listeners. It is intended that the pa tients shall be the musicians. Instruction and coaching in music will be given and patients who are capable will be encouraged to un dertake the teaching of lees advanced students. (Waxhaw Enterprise.) . ' The road drag has been used a great deal in this community this year ana it has been of creat value to the roads. There is hardly a bad piece or road anywhere in this . section, and this, is due to the fact that the drag has been used liberally. A smooth sur face and proper drainage will keep or dinary roads in "good repair. Children Cry FOR FLETCHER'S C ASTO R I A PRESIDENT OF CUBA TO ATTEND EXPOSITION. San Francisco, March 20. Presi dent.
