What once was never been I To the editor: I am sick and tired of the I Journal's habit of giving credit land building up people to receive credit for the FM I project. I will point out two I specific cases: last semester the Journal printed a picture of Bob I Prophit stating below that he I was instrumental in obtaining IfM. Not true. He has had I nothing to do with it. In last [week's FM article, the Journal printed a quote about the FM from Ted Cannaday. He has also had nothing to do with the FM project. At this point, I feel I have an obligation to set the record straight as to who has been involved in this project from UNCC; Tom Swicegood, Steve Garrett, Joe Blanchard, Andy Pincus, Bonnie Cone, Steve Sox, Jim Yates, Todd Edwards, Frank Burke, Dr. Douglas Orr, Dennis Rash, Betty Chafin, Lee Simmons, Chancellor Colvard, T.L. Smith, and myself. (Apologies to those no longer here that I have failed to mention for lack of historical mention}. In closing, I urge the Journal to be more wise in selecting and rechecking their sources for material. Holeshouser 4, 1975] To the editor: Recently there were conflicting arguments on campus in regard to the naming of a new building for our present governor. The reasons for not doing so were so flimsy I could hardly believe them, which leads me to conclude that some of the U NC-Charlotte student minds are the results of being raised by the old Dr. Spock theory — they were babies, now are babies and after graduation will still be babies, because they suffer from the lack of the knowledge of I living realities. I imagine a junior at thol institution, who gives the reason for not naming the building fo.l the Governor, admitting thathJ can't spell Holshouser. *1 . condition at the University, then we needi to go back to basic READ INC WRITING - ARITHMETIC curriculum - Or, we are wasting the taxpayers' money. “I (signature illegible)!
