investigated soon

the Legislature Investigative
Committee, moved "Whereas
David H. Sturgis, Attorney
General of UNCC, has been
charged by the Legislature
Investigative Committee,
authorized by Student
Legislature, with:
1. Failure to delete names
of acquitted persons
involved in court
records in your
possession.
2. Unethical and
u nprofessional
conduction in the
handling of a particular
case.
3. Allowing confidential
records to be overheard
by unauthorized
persons.
Be it thereby resolved that
the UNCC Student Legislature
hereby officially consider David
Sturgis as impeached, charged
with misfeasance and
malfeasance as of this day,
Tuesday, April 1, 1975." The
motion passed.
McKeever followed that
motion with another concerning
the same matter. "Be it so
resolved that David Sturgis be
removed from the office of
Attorney General." The motion
was tabled until the hearing to
be held this week.
Davis Trotter, representing
the Clubs and Organizations
Committee, moved that CARP
(Collegiate Association of
Research into Principles) be
granted a secondary charter by
Student Legislature. The motion
passed.
The last item of business
involved responsibility for
postponement of the Second
Major Spring Election. The
Legislature decided that the
responsibility of the Chairman
of the Election and Publicity
should be waived.
At the next meeting of
Student Legislature, there will
be a hearing on the
impeachment of the Attorney
General with only emergency
business being heard by the
governmental body.

Ms. Ruth Victor will be performing a traditional dunce in the Lucas room as part ol'a
performing arts festival to be held April 23rd at 7:30. Free to Students! Other
performances will include: The Charlotte Regional Ballet, Abracadabra Magic Show,
Rervis Lee, and many more. Please attend! It will be a great break from school routine
and support for community artists.
