Concord hs not had a stronger ball team since the days of the old "Lone Nine" than at present, 'bur boys are in excellent form, and art ready to meet any'and all corner. The national game has many en thosiastic admirers here, and when erer a game is played on the home grounds the "fans" turn out in force. Rocky Kiter team has expressed a desire to cross bats again with our boys, and they will probable be ac commodated in the; near future. It is more than likely that the Salisbury team will be given a chance on their own grounds to re trieve themselves of the most in glorious defeat they suffered at the hands of our'boys last week. The Salisbury World of Monday says : "Mr. Frank Rogers, of Concord, was in the city this morning for a short while. We learn that the ob ject of Mr. Rogers' visit here was to arrange a game of baseball between tbe Salisbury and Concord trains. We believe that Spencer would be glad tojackle Concord on Salisbury grounds next Saturday" FATS VS. LEANS. I Here is an event that promises to furnish abundant amusement to all who witness at.
