Two Colored Women Disagree.
On last Saturday evening,
near Allison's corner, two negro
women, Laura Melchor and Ida
McKnight, had a quarrelsome
time. It was too mucn 01 a time
for colored people to have on the
streets and so they were arrested
and tried that night. Both were
taken to jail, but soon the
necessary amount of money was
raised for Ida McKnight's re
lease. The other one, who an
officer informs us is of a very bad
character, took a room there.
