GRANVILLE IIOSIERY MILLS CO. - The commute appointed to select the name for the new hosiery mill, selected the name "Gran vilfe Hos iery Mills Co" this was submitted by Mr. S. H. Kieth. The next day the same name was mailed in by Mfss Clegg, but as her name came in afterthe mill was named, the judges awarded the first dosen hose made by the new mill to Mr S. H. Keith , The Secretary of State issued a charter last week, with an author-ize-d capital of $50, 000 00. There h is been around S9000 00 of the stock subscribed. .It is a good idea of the paomoters to have a mill that puts out as good hosiery as any in the state, aitd the present plan is to start with about one hundred knitting machines, and the bal. e:y of loopers, ribbers. sew ing machines and finishing machin ery required to operate a mill of the above size. An option on a suitable brick building has already been- .-ecured. and all that remains to be done be fore Creedmoor .inters the textile world is tor a little more stock to be subscribed for. Every man and woman in the community that can , possibly do so would do well to buy some of the stock. An organization meeting will be held Friday evening at eight o'clock in the Masonic Hall, to hear the report of the stock solicitors, t adopt the by-laws and elect the directors of the mill Every man and woman interested in the wel fare of our little town expected to be present.
