Petree, whp was badly hurt in an automobile wreck some time ago and carried to St. Leo's Hospital last week, is reported to be getting along nicely, we are glad to note, while his place at the Stokes County Bank is being filled by Mr. N. E. Pepper, of Danbury. Mrs. Lizzie Adams, who re sides north of town, has been ill for some time with rheumatism, we are sorry to note. Misses Maybelle and Jessie Vaughn visited Winston-Salem Sunday. Mr. M. V. Martin went to Mullins, S. C. last Saturday, returning Monday. He was accompanied home by his brother, Mr. M. M. Martin. Miss Stella Rierson and Mr. Robert Murphy spent the day ; Saturday in Winston-Salem. Mr. Numa Vaughn, of Greens-1 boro, is spending a few days | with home folks at the Vaughn ' Hotel. Mr. Tom Petree. of Danbury, was in town a few days last week, leaving Monday Mrs Dixon, who has been spending a few days in town with her husband, left Tuesday for her home at Chatham, Va.
