The contracting parties, with a few close friends, arrived at Mr. Oliver's promptly at the hour set for the marriage, and were received into the sitting room where arrangements were completed for the ceremony, during which time Mrs. I. M. Gordon, who is visiting the home, rendered choice piano selections in the parlor, ending up with a wedding march to the inspiring strains of which the bridal party entered the parlor which had been decorated with potted plants for the occasion. Little Miss Evelyn Louise Gordon led the bridal procession, taking her position near to her grandfather, the officiating THE DANBURY REPORTEk minister, and was followed by the attendants. Miss M. Louise Oliver with Thomas W. Gentry, the best man; and Miss Emma I. Gentry with Samuel T. Oliver. Next the principal characters of the occasion, the bride leaning on the arm of the groom, came forward to where Rev. Mr. Oliver stood in readiness to say the words that would make this happy pair husband and wife. The ceremony was beautiful in its simplicity and solemnity, following which congratulations and all good wishes were ex tended by admiring friends. Mr. and Mrs. Boyles and a few select friends immediately drove to the home of Mr. Raleigh G. Gentry, where Mr. Boyles has resided a good part of his life, and it is altogether safe to as same that upon their arrival at this hospitable home these happy young people found awaiting them a sumptuous old fashioned wedding dinner adequate to do full honor to the occasion. Road Commissioner Wesley Mabe. of Sauratown township, was a Danbury visitor Tuesday. Mr. Mabe stated that Rood progress was being made on the road work in his township, and that a* soon as the road between Walnut Cove and J. L Black burn's is finished the contractor will build a three-mile stretch of road leading from J. I. Black burn's to the north-east coiner of Sauratown township in the direction of Dillard. This road will extend within one mile of the Danbury township line down near Mr. J. N. Lasley's. After finishing this three miles the road from Walnut Cove to the Forsyth county line will be built. It is thought best to build the road mentioned above leading toward Danbury township before building the road to the Forsyth line as this will be the last work in the north end of the township and will save the trouble of moving the contractor's camp I back up this way again. Mr. Mabe said that they had not yet decided which route they would take in building a road north west toward Meadows township, but would probably go either up by Mr. Elias Voss' place or the Piney Mountain route.
