A telephone message received
here yesterday stated that a
forest fire was raging on Brown
Mt. The fire was thought to
have been started by a farmer
while burning a plant bed.
The road forces working on
the new road between Danbury
and Meadows postoffice have
been moved from right near here
to the hill near the County
Home. It is learned that the
work has been moving along
rapidly during the past several
days of good weather.
