It. - The (itiilford county commissioners J! yesterday decided upon a plan I>r giving the county a new i courthouse building to be con- j ] structed on the spot at present ! occcupied by the courthouse. Inji order to have the court room 1 Muiet, one of the complaints! against it being that it is noisy, j it will be several stories from the! ground, accessible by electric ele rators and made absolutely con-, venient with all modern fixtures. As contemplated the building will be eight or ten stories high,, will be fire proof, and thorolyj modern in every particular. The ■ cost will be from $150,000 to! §200,000. It is estimated that l the rents from offices will amount to from $15,000 to $20,000 per year, which sum will be placed ji in a sinking fund with which to retire the bonds. By this plan the building will have paid for j itself in 15 or 20 years, the rents 1 ! will have increased and a good , income will be produced for the . county. The county offices will probably! i occupy the ground floor. The!! lon,' t.Mi'c'rt. "As to letterheads. 1 can indi-| ! vidually testify that 1 have bought thousands and thousands : of dollars worth of goods from I agricultural growers simply be cause I saw the goods advertised on the letter heads of some farm er growers who use them. Anv man who has a certain j , thing on his farm to sell, and who writes L'fiU letters per year on letterheads which advertise this product, is doing for that product a tirst-elass job of adver tising.
