State of North Carolina. Office of the Board of County Com'rs. Stokes Ccunty. October the -Ith, 1915. In the matter or' road election in 1 Notice to the qualified voters of Yadkin Township, Stokes Coun- i Yadkin Township of the calling 1 ty, N. C., pursuant to Chapter and holding of said election. 11 Public Local Laws of 15)13, and Chapter 201 Public Local Law 9 of IS>ls. It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of Stokes County that a petition has this day been filed before said Board, signed by more than one fifth of the qualified voters of Yadkin Township, in said county, asking for an election to be held in said township, for the purpose of ascertaining the will of the qualified voters of said township, upon the question of issuing $30,000 road bonds of the township, under and pursuant to chapter 11 of the public local laws of 19Bi, and chapter 201 of the public local laws of 1915: and it further appearing to the board that no election has been held in said township under said act within six months prior to the date hereof : It is now in pursuance of said petition, and the acts of the General Assembly of North Carolina, ordered by the board of 1 county commissioners of Stokes county, that an election be held in said township, at all the election precincts therein, to-wit :- Boyles', King and Pinnacle, on Tuesday, the l»>th, day of Novem ber 1015, for the purpose of ascertaining the will of the qualified voters of said township, upon the question of issuing $50,000 road bonds of said township, for the improvement of the public roads therein, and for the further purpose of electing three road com missioners for said township under said act of l!>15. Said bonds to run twenty-five years, bearing six per cent semi annual interest from date of issue, with a provision for the levy, of taxes to meet the interest thereon, and further provision to levy taxes for a sinking fund to pay said bonds at maturity, the last named levy to begin one year after said bonds are sold. That for the purpose of holding said election, it is further order ed by the board that the following Registrars and .Judges be, and they are hereby appointed to hold said election in accordanccwith' the acts aforesaid : Boyles' precinct, William 11. Slate. Registrar, and D. F. Tillot son and L. F. Fowler Judges; King precinct, James R. Caudle. Registrar and B. F. Pulliam and H. S. Greene Judges: Pinnacle precinct, Ollie Boles Registrar, and W. A. Sullivan and Y. i. Wat son Judges. That at said election all qualified electors who favor the issuing of said bonds shall vote a ballot "For Good Roads Bond Issue," and all qualified electors who are Qpposed to the issuing of said bonds shall vote a ballot "Against (iood Roads Bond Issue." That said election shall be held as near as near as may be under ' thp general law for the election of members of the General Assembly. That the registration books for said election shall open on Friday the loth day of October, l!il">, and shall close on Saturday the oth day of November, 15)15. That Saturday, November the l.'lth, 15*15. shall be challenge day. That the registration books shall be kept ('pen for the registration of voters, on each day, (Sundays excepted, I from and including October the 15th to November the t»th, 15n5. from the hour of nine o'clock a. in., to sunset. That on each Saturday during the time the registration books are kept open for the registration of voters the respective registrars f»h:J! attend at their respective election precincts for the purpose of the registration of voters. That at said election one road commissioner for said township shall be elected at each precinct, who shall bo a resident of his precinct. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners causer notice of this order to be published once a week for a least thirty uav preceding the time of holding said election in the Danbury Reporter, a newspaper published in Stokes county, N. 0., and further, cause notice hereof to be posted at five public places in the township for thirty days next preceding the time of said elec tion, and also cause notice of this order to be served by the Sheriff of Stokes county, upon each of said registrars and judges.
