THE DANBURY REPORTER. i Interesting Meeting* Of Stokes Teachers The teacheis of Stokes county held a very interesting meeting in the court house here Saturday, Sept. 31st at 1(1 o'clock. Supt. J. C. Carson was present and presided over the meeting. "America" and ''On ward Chris tian Soldiers" were sung by the audience and followed by the Lord's prayer. Dr. Foster, of the State Board Health, made a splendid talk relative to the Dental Clinic work in the county. Several teachers made fine addresses concerning school work. They were as fol lows: Prof. Crown, Prof, and Mrs. H. A. Carroll, Prof. Keener, Miss Jennings and Prof. Moser. During the afternoon session Prof. E. F. Duncan, principal of : Walnut Cove High School, organized the county unit of the j Teachers' Assembly. Prof. H. A. Carroll was elected president, Miss Mary Taylor, secretary and | treasurer of the organization. Prof. Duncan was former presi dent of the local unit. Prof. Duncan and Miss Lizzie Ad kins were elected delegates o the Stalj' Teachers' Assem bly. The alternates were Prof. IJrown, of the Pinnacle High School, and Miss Hester Wall, of Madison. Supt. > f Schools J. C. Carson made a very helpful talk to the teachers about their work. He spoke to them aboul their reg isters. monthly reports and re port thirds.
