AS I COMPARED WITH TWO YEARS AGO. | Some very interesting- facts to ; Stokes politicians may I*> gathered from a close analysis of the late election t\*rures in the county. For I instance in 1930, 5,383 vote* 4 were cast, -while In 1932, 6.40S- persons' registered their ballots, again of 1.08(1' j . pvgr two years ago. Of the gatn in total vote over two j years ago—taking the congressional | vote as a fair average—the Demo, furnished 778 new Huffragiotn, j and the Republicans 342. East Sandy Ridee fe the banner Democroitic precinct -of the county, with a majority of 245 for Roosevelt. Snow Creek is the banner Dem. | ocratic Township, yielding a major, ity of 357. The banner Repuhican precinct is •now Flinty Knoll, with 94 majority. Quaker Gap retains Its lead as the I frtrong-est Republican township, with ' 166 majority. In the late election the Democrats t carried 14 precincts, while the Re-' publicans won in 7. as follows: DEMOCRATIC: Danbury, Wilson's Store, Binnacle, A Mount Olive. ' Moir, • M Frans. The highest vote any candidate received at any precinct, was 315 lor Phillips at Ka«t Walnut Cove. The lowest vote any Democrat re. oeived at any precinct was 36 for Joyce at Mlzpah. The highest vote any Republican candidate received at any one pre -cinct was 291 for Jacob Fulton at Ea"t Walnut Cove. The lowest Republican vote at any one precinct was 35 for Fagg at Freeman's. Roosevelt's vote of 372S was the highest total vote of the countv, •with Taylor's 3710 betng eieconrt. RooseveltVi majority was 1150. while Taylor's was C6l.
