By special arrange ment with Mr. J. N. Freeman, manager of the Social Security Board office at the Nissan Build ing in Winston-Salem, the Social Security Board has consented to pass on the accuracy of answers to questions on Social Security, which may be asked by employ ers, employees and others, through The Danbury Reporter- Answers will be given here in the order in which questions are re ceived. THE DANBURY REPORTER Severe Storm j Visits Westfield Riding the shimmering waves Jof the summer's hottest weather, i lightning this week struck with destructive effect in different t j parts of Surry county, the great est damage being reported from the vicinity of Wcstfi'ld and El kin on opposite edges of the county. The first damage reported came from Westfield last Saturday af ternoon when one of the most devastating bolts felt in that sec tion in years struck an ancient ti'ee that stood near the West field Baptist church, ripping the trunk into pieces and running off the tree t Q strike the church a few feet away. | The bolt 'eft the tree and fol lowed a concrete Walk, burst a tile drainpipe ?rom the room, damaged the roof in a number of prices and entered the building I to shiver the light switch into pieces and rip it from the wall.
