Will?,am Franklin Collins, 67. died of pneumonia at the horr-o of his brother, Robert, on Fran cisco Route 1, Thursday of lus!' week at 9 o'clock. He had been ill only a few days. Mr. Collins was a prosptiour farmer and a member of a promi nent Stokes county family. He is survived by one brother. Robert: and four sisters. Mil D. P. Smith, Peters Creek. Va.: Mrs. J. I. Nunn. A number of farmers are now set ting out the plants. The plant supply is reported unusually am ple and fine. Judge I. R. Humphreys and young son of Reidsville visited Danbury this week. Organized and is now manager of Stokes Lumber Co., also engaged in farming and construction business, is member of Board of Welfare in advisory capacity, chairman of Sauratown Democratic executive committee, a Junior, Mason and member of Walnut Cove Baptist Church. Interment was in the King Moravian cemetery. Relatives here have been noti fied of the severe illness of Mrs. Martha Anne Meadows at Ashe boro, where she was visiting her daughter, Mrs. S. L. Pulliam. She suffered a stroke of paraly sis last Wednesday. Mesdames Nelia Pulliam and Elmer Boyles spent Saturday with Mrs. Paul Williams at Sew ard. John Southern, planter of the Bethel section, was among tho business visitors here Saturday.
