Comes of a family that never voted anything but a Democratic ticket.
His grandfathers, maternal and paternal, soldiers of the army of the Con
federacy. One died in the service, the other received wounds that he bore to
his death.
Appointed by the Governor of the State, has made a record equal to any
judge on the North Carolina bench during the term of his service.
From every county where he has held court comes the report of his splen
did ability as a judge and the efficient manner in which he transacts the busi
ness of the Court.
His business-like dispatch of the heavily congested dockets saves thous
ands of dollars to the taxpayers of every county in which he presides.
Judge Bivens is conducting his campaign upon the highest plane. The
people should recognize the value of the services of this jurist to the State of
North Carolina, and on the 4th day of June re-nominate him to this one of the
most important positions within the gift of the State.
The Democrats of Stokes county are cordially invited to come out on June
4 and confirm the judgment of Clyde R. Hoey.
