IlutchenV Sunday. ) Walnut Cove Boy Struck By Car On Tuesday afternoon the 16- year-old son of Dora Southern 1 was struck by an automobile on t Main street in Walnut Cove and j knocked several feet. The boy was crossing the street about 2 o'clock at Riley Turner's store when a car driven by the educa i tional director of the CCC camp at Madison hit him. Y While in a drinking party that played poker Sunday near Sandy Ridge, Watt Smith was shot through the intestines by Uusscii Nelson. Smith was taken to a Stuart, Va., hospital where it is reported he is dangerously hurt. The weapon used was a 22-rifle. Nelson was arrested and brought to Danbury jail pending the un certain condition of Smith. Former Walnut Cove Girl Meets Tragric Death MRS. CHARLES A. ADAMS FATALLY INJURED WED NESDAY MORNING IN OAR ACCIDENT IN GREENSBORO —FUNERAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY. Mrs. Charles A. Adams was fatally injured in an automobile wreck in Greensboro Wednesday morning at the intersection of Walker and Scott avenues Her car collided with one driven by Starr Davis.
